Как Рассчитать Среднедневной Заработок Для Компенсации При Увольнении. There are 4 simple things you can do to save money on your home internet, from buying your own gear to using different types of internet. BUT there is plenty more to take into consideration… like what kind of internet are you going to get? What speeds do you need or how much are you willing to spend? Today I'm going to look at the cost of internet plans and show you how to keep your price low.

Internet

Internet service providers, or ISPs, have a stigma of ripping their customers off and charging high prices along with random fees that you didn’t realize you needed to pay! But there are ways to save money on your internet plan, and you can get ahead of the curve before you get an unfortunate billing surprise.

My first tip is to choose cable over fiber. Cable is generally cheaper, and you can get speeds that rival fiber for less money. If you REALLY wanted to save money, you could go with DSL, BUT it’s pretty slow and honestly you’ll pay for cheap internet with frustration when you're streaming the new Netflix special and it’s constantly buffering.
Now because cable infrastructure is different in every neighborhood across the country, only certain providers will be available in your area. The easiest way to find an internet plan for you is to look at your address, type it into WhistleOut.com’s address checker and we’ll populate a list of all the companies in your area. This list will also include DSL and Fiber plans IF they’re available. To filter your list for just cable internet, you can refine the search in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

An easy EASY way to save money on your internet bill is by downgrading your speeds or looking for a plan with slower speeds. Not everyone needs gig internet, especially if there’s only one or two of you in a house. To calculate the speed you need, you can watch this video in the right hand corner where I break down how to find the best internet speed for your house so you’re not over paying.

Third, cable companies reel you in by offering introductory pricing. As tempting as those prices are, be sure to look at what the cost will be over the next few years because chances are the price WILL GO UP. For instance, my internet cost is $50/month for the first year, and after that my price will go up to $80/month… Some people like to switch every year so they always have intro pricing from a new carrier, but that only works if you have multiple carriers in your area.

A fourth way ISPs will try and get a little extra money from you is asking you to rent a modem. This will cost you on average an additional $10/month which comes out to $120 a year! Renting from your internet provider will make sure your internet works properly, and it won’t void any warranties or IT fixes you might need. For instance Cox doesn’t charge to fix any internet problems if you rent a modem from them, but they DO charge if you buy one yourself. However if you want to save a little money you can buy a modem, and if you can handle little IT fixes yourself, you can buy a modem from any big box retailer or even amazon for a fraction of the cost when compared to renting. That is what I did and my setup works flawlessly.

I do have a warning when buying your own modem... make sure it has the capability to handle your internet speeds. Some can only handle slower speeds, while others have massive caps. Make sure to double-check that before checking out.
