In this video, I discuss the recent Bitcoin "crash" in its historical context.

Bitcoin crashes remove leverage from the system and help to create a firmer foundation of dedicated hodlers, who have discipline and low time preferences. By contrast, fiat market crashes lead to bailouts, moral hazard, and more leverage entering the system.

A possible US Treasury investigation into crypto money laundering and a power grid outage in China are not material worries. Combined with lots of leveraged longs, they can definitely lead to a cascading sell-off as we have seen.

I am buying the dip. Bitcoin below $60,000 is an absolute steal.
