JOYCE’S CORE EQUIPMENT
Ultra-wide-angle cameras
JOYCE is equipped with three ultra-wide-angle cameras calibrated to give 2D hemispheric, 3D stereoscopic hemispheric or full 360° x 360° spherical capture and viewing of the environment. Each camera has a greater than 180° field of view and all three cameras are synchronized to an advanced Image Signal Processor (ISP).

Data-In-Picture technology
JOYCE uses Data-In-Picture technology so that each of her video frames can be enriched with data from a wide array of sensors providing contextual information to AI and neural networks, computer vision and SLAM algorithms to help increase her visual perception.

Programming interface
Soon, JOYCE’s programming interface will made available to the computer vision community to run experiments and upgrade her capabilities.
